Evidence-Based Parenting for Real Life Support
I'm a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. I'm also a mom of three, which means I know exactly what it feels like to be in the thick of it. I get the guilt, the exhaustion, and the frustration of trying yet another tip that didn't work. I live it too.
Where It Started
I didn't start out in this field. I began as a Licensed Psychological Associate, working with kids and families in an office setting. It was good work, but I wanted to do more than sit across from a family and wait for things to click. I wanted to help build the plan. I wanted to be part of the change, not just watch for it.
That's what led me to behavior analysis, and I've been a Board Certified Behavior Analyst since 2014.
Why Bloomstead exists
Over the years, I've worked in clinics, schools, and homes across Kentucky and Indiana. I've supervised teams, trained staff, and sat with families through some of their hardest moments. And in all of that time, I kept seeing the same gap.
Parents know their kids better than anyone. They spend more time with their child than any therapist, teacher, or provider ever will. But most support is built around the child, not the parent. If a parent is lucky, they get an hour a week, maybe an hour a month, of real guidance. Then they go home and try to hold it all together on their own, without the tools to make it actually work day to day.
And so many parents don't even get that hour. Their child is struggling, hard mornings, big feelings, meltdowns that seem to come out of nowhere, but there's no diagnosis attached to it. So the doors to services stay closed, even though the family clearly needs support.
I started Bloomstead Parenting to close that gap. I wanted to give parents the kind of practical, real-world support that usually only comes with a diagnosis or a long waitlist, using the same evidence-based tools I've spent my career building.
Just like you
Away from the clinical side, I'm parenting three kids of my own, right alongside you. I know the feelings and worries that come with an everyday mom life. I know the guilt after a hard moment, the exhaustion by mid-morning, and the frustration of trying one more thing that was supposed to fix everything.
I'm not just a clinical expert handing you a plan from a distance. I'm in it with you.
